Instalando o IBM Connections 6 - Instalando o ksh93 (korn shell) para o DB2

Na instalação do IBM Connections 6.0, um dos requisitos para a instalação do DB2 para linux é o korn shell 93. É importante salientar que este shell não é um shell diferente do ksh que você já tem no linux, mas sim uma atualização do shell. Se você procurar no yum você não encontrará este pacote, pois o pacote continua sendo o korn shell, porém atualizado com a versão de 1993. A versão anterior do korn shell era de 1988.

Para checar se a versão que você tem no seu sistema operacional é o korn shell versão de 1993, execute o comando abaixo e verifique a versão:

$ strings /bin/ksh | grep Version

@(#)$Id: Version AJM 93u+ 2012-08-01 $

Neste caso, podemos ver que a versão que tenho instalada é a versão de 1993. É provável que você já tenha a versão de 1993 instalada, visto que já se passaram muitos anos desde 1993.
